Intelligence Report Classifies Venezuela as “Anti-U.S. Leader”
The National Director of Intelligence, in his annual threat assessment before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, said Venezuela continues to fund Colombian insurgents
Admiral Dennis Blair¹s report details the principle threats to the interests and security of the U.S. worldwide. In addition to mentioning the usual security concerns Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan, Al Qaida and Iraq the report dedicates significant space to Venezuela. In his statement Blair said Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez "continued his covert support to the terrorist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC)." Blair also called Chavez one of the U.S.'s foremost international detractors and a potential destabilizing actor in the region - highlighting Chavez's purchases of Russian weapons, close ties to Iran, and his increasingly belligerent opposition to Colombia¹s defense cooperation agreement with the U.S., which Chavez has called a declaration of war. source

Ecopetrol and Knoc Create Savia Peru
State oil firm Ecopetrol and South Korea's Knoc confirmed this Thurs. that they concluded the process of transforming the Petro Tech Peru company, in order to convert it into a firm called Savia Peru. The firm plans to invest over $2.5 billion in the next eight years and hopes to become the top crude and gas producer in the country. The project aims to produce 18,000 barrels of oil daily, reaching 50,000 in 2016. Ecopetrol has a 50% share of Savia Peru. source

Bin Laden: Global warming is US' fault
Osama bin Laden has raised the terror warning level to green. In a message that would make Al Gore proud, the man behind the Sept. 11 attacks called for the world to boycott American products and the US dollar -- blaming this country for global warming, according to an audiotape released today. In the tape, the terror lord rants of the dangers of climate change and said the only way to stop it is to bring "the wheels of the American economy" to a grinding halt. He called for "drastic solutions" to global warming -- "not solutions that partially reduce the effect of climate change," according to the taped message. The message was played today by the Qatar-based Arab satellite TV channel Al Jazeera. source

Dear Senator,
Anyone familiar with the 2011 budget and recent regulations would have to be insane to hire employees or start a business. The budget includes 86.7 billion in tax increases plus 39.0 billion in "Climate revenues". With increased taxes and "skyrocketing" energy costs we see more layoffs and bankruptcies, not employment. The most to suffer will be the middle class.
Recent news would send any company running to a friendlier country.

The United States on Thursday formally notified the United Nations that it has embraced the Copenhagen Accord setting nonbinding goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that was negotiated last month.
Todd Stern, the top U.S. climate negotiator for the Obama administration, also gave notice that, as expected, it will aim for a 17 percent reduction in emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases blamed for global warming by 2020, with 2005 as the base year.
A final emissions reduction target will be submitted, the U.S. said, once the U.S. Congress enacts domestic legislation requiring carbon pollution cuts. But such legislation has an uncertain fate in the Senate.

Signs Of The Apocalypse: The 182 Page CBO 2010 Deficit Analysis
A review of the Congressional Budget Office forecast of the 2010 to 2020 fiscal P&L and balance sheets for the US government leaves the impression that the government is caught in a financial vice from which it cannot free itself—at least not in the next ten years.
Every newspaper, newscast, and online information site gave front page billing to the CBO report that the 2010 federal budget deficit will be $1.35 trillion, assuming current laws and policies remain unchanged. ‘The agency worried in its report that if Congress does not cut spending or raise revenue via taxes that the numbers could be even worse than they were in 2009 when the deficit was $1.4 trillion. The part of the analysis that should startle people the most is the CBO assumption that unemployment will remain above 10% for at least the first half of next year. This information must have caused everyone in The White House to blanch. The Administration has pushed the idea that its stimulus package would rescue the U.S. from severe joblessness early this year. source
Does anyone care? Washington has no serious plans for new jobs and no real budget cuts only incredibly wasteful "health" and "global warming" scams. They don’t care. It’s easier to print money and raise taxes.

State of the Union speech, President Obama,
"And no area is more ripe for such innovation than energy. You can see the results of last year's investments in clean energy in the North Carolina company that will create 1,200 jobs nationwide, helping to make advanced batteries, or in the California business that will put 1,000 people to work making solar panels.
But to create more of these clean-energy jobs, we need more production, more efficiency, more incentives, and that means building a new generation of safe, clean nuclear power plants in this country.
It means making tough decisions about opening new off-shore areas for oil and gas development.
It means continued investment in advanced biofuels and clean-coal technologies.
And, yes, it means passing a comprehensive energy and climate bill with incentives that will finally make clean energy the profitable kind of energy in America.
I'm grateful to the House for passing such a bill last year."
Transcript of speech

1. 2400 jobs created is hardly significant when our loses are in the millions.
2. President Obama's election platform noted the importance of nuclear energy. He later deleted it.
3. The House bill allows drilling 12 miles off shore and places where there is no oil.
4. The House bill removed long standing drilling incentives from States.
5. Adding the EPA as another layer of regulation assured that no new nuclear plants will be built. No off-shore wells will be drilled.
6. President Obama listens to only one climate lobbyist, Al Gore.
7. President Obama will find it very difficult to advance energy with Nancy Pelosi and lobbyists obstructing all real energy proposals.
8. Until the President stops bashing companies, including banks and those listed on Wall Street, we will not have real job growth.

SEC to require disclosure of climate change risks

Health and Energy - A taxing agenda
While the networks are busily reporting on the "Health Care" bill and the earthquake in Haiti it is clear that in the background the administration is working hard to finalize the "Global Warming" or "Cap and Trade" bill.
It is extremely important for the administration that this bill passes. Spending is out of control and Americans are tired of rising taxes. The only way the administration can raise more money for pet projects and special interest groups is by hiding them. The "Health Care" bill is a huge reward for the insurance and drug industries. The proceeds of the "Cap and Trade" bill, an immense energy tax scheme can be used for virtually any project.
We have a remarkable chance to slow down the Obama-Pelosi-Reid machine and their two TAX bills. Martha Coakley, a Democrat is running in the special Massachusetts U.S. Senate race. If she wins she would be a rubber stamp for the administration. Her opponent, Scott Brown, is against taxes, for real energy and real jobs. The special election is on Tuesday January 19.

The mini ice age starts here
The bitter winter afflicting much of the Northern Hemisphere is only the start of a global trend towards cooler weather that is likely to last for 20 or 30 years, say some of the world’s most eminent climate scientists.
Their predictions based on an analysis of natural cycles in water temperatures in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans – challenge some of the global warming orthodoxy’s most deeply cherished beliefs, such as the claim that the North Pole will be free of ice in summer by 2013.

Britain Goes Berserk
November 25, 2009 -- Telegraph.co.uk
Climate change poses a "real and present danger" to the immediate health of millions of people, Andy Burnham, the Health Secretary, has warned.
His comments came as a series of reports suggested that tens of thousands of lives a year could be saved in Britain alone by cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
The warning comes less than a fortnight before international leaders are due to meet in Copenhagen for crunch climate change talks.
Cutting animal farming by a third could significantly reduce emissions and save around 18,000 lives a year in Britain because of the resultant drop in cases of heart disease if people eat less red meat, scientists estimate.
Another 5,000 early deaths from lung problems and other conditions could be prevented by better home insulation and reducing the use of carbon based fuels.
Reducing our dependence on cars could improve also health, as well as lower emissions, the studies found.
Switching to walking instead of driving for many journeys could also cut deaths from heart disease by up to 4,200 cases a year.
The move could also save around 200 deaths a year each from dementia and breast cancer.

Good advice but it has nothing to do with greenhouse gas emissions. Also, add:
Ban alcohol. Making ethanol instead would save thousands of accidents and lives.
Water vapor is a greenhouse gas. Ban hot or warm showers.

World will 'cool for the next decade'
09 September 2009 by Fred Pearce
FORECASTS of climate change are about to go seriously out of kilter. We could be about to enter one or even two decades of cooler temperatures, according to one of the world's top climate modellers.
"People will say this is global warming disappearing," Mojib Latif told more than 1500 climate scientists gathered at the UN's World Climate Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, last week. "I am not one of the sceptics. However, we have to ask the nasty questions ourselves or other people will do it."
Few climate scientists go as far as Latif, an author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and a climate physicist at the Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences at the University of Kiel, Germany. Yet many now agree that the short-term prognosis for climate change is less certain than once thought. more

Worse than no bill at all
"the climate bill making its way through Congress is more focused on preserving corporate profits than the environment."
While much has been made of the bill's promise to cut 17 percent of CO2 emissions by 2020, the baseline has been changed from 1990 (when the baseline for Kyoto began) to 2005. Therefore, in the best-case scenario--i.e., if the system actually works like it's supposed to--this represents just a 4 percent reduction of U.S. emissions from 1990.   more

In March of 2009 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) drafted a 98-page report that warned against making hasty "decisions based on a scientific hypothesis that does not appear to explain most of the available data."
March 17, 2009. Al McGartland, an EPA official, sent an e-mail message to the authors stating "The administrator and the administration has decided to move forward... and your comments do not help the legal or policy case for this decision."
April 17, 2009. The EPA issued an endangerment finding, saying that global warming poses a serious threat to public health and safety. Much of the findings were based on information gathered by other agencies as well as on the IPCC Plenary reports written in 2007.

Energy Tax Facts
The Markey-Waxman "Cap-and-trade" Energy Tax bill, in the current form being considered by the House Energy and Commerce committee, would have the following catastrophic effects by 2035:
1. Reduce aggregate gross domestic product (GDP) by $9.6 trillion annually;
2. Destroy 1,105,000 American jobs per year on average, with peak years seeing unemployment rise by over 2,479,000 jobs;
3. Raise electricity rates 90 percent after adjusting for inflation;
4. Raise inflation-adjusted gasoline prices by 74 percent;
5. Raise residential natural gas prices by 55 percent;
6. Raise an average family's annual energy bill by $1,500 annually; and
7. Increase inflation-adjusted federal debt by 26 percent, or $29,150 additional federal debt per person, again after adjusting for inflation.

Please tax us!
According to the latest energy bill (H.R.2454) the government intends to set up a system to control carbon emission through "Cap and trade".
Each year the government would issue your company (you) a permit to emit a fixed amount of carbon. You will not be allowed to exceed your permitted amount. If you reduce the amount of carbon you emit you will be allowed to sell the excess allowance you have received. If exceed your allowance, you will be able to buy an additional allowance from the companies who have cut down their emission. You will also be able to buy allowances from companies that specialize in carbon reduction.
A government department will measure and track your carbon emission as well as control your allowances all trades.
An alternative to "cap and trade" is the carbon tax. You are taxed on the amount of carbon you emit. The government would still have to measure the pollution produced and tax accordingly.
Please make it simple and clear! Tax all fossil fuels. If we use more fuel we emit more carbon and pay more. If we become more efficient we use less fuel and pay less, The system is already in place. You (The government) can start collecting the additional tax almost immediately and we (the taxpayers) will see where the money is spent.

Energy divided by taxes and regulation equals jobs

the government IS the problem!"
